Kate Thompson

I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Kate Thompson; I am an Aerial artist based in Quake-city (Christchurch). I love to teach and perform aerials; I specialize in Tissu (silks), Lyra (aerial hoop) and trapeze.I have taught aerials at festivals such as Circulation and Autumn arena.

I teach kids aerial classes at the new circus space in Christchurch 'Circotica' and I teach Adults classes.

I teach a range of abilities and ages, from first time flyers-having a taste of what it feels like to be in the air, to confident flyers-expanding and building on what you already know, sequencing, technique, form and moves.

I’m very excited to be teaching at this festival again- where I fell in love with aerials.
