Community

The Society

Circulation Community was incorporated as a Society in 2012 for the purpose of continuing our mission of bringing circus and wellbeing workshops to the greater population, and supporting the artistic endeavours of its members. CC Inc is a non-profit organisation and is always looking to expand its networks and boost its membership, if you would like to help with the society or have some skills you would like to offer, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us.

Circulation Space

The society has recently acquired the use of a space at 1 Vogel St, Dunedin. We’ve nicknamed it the Circulation Space (for now) as we use the office and attached workshop to further the goals of the society and expand our influence. We recently got to showcase the Circulation Space at the Vogel Street Party, running tours and installations for several hours to the public getting our name out there.

The Arena

‘The Arena’ is the nickname given to the beautiful earthen amphitheatre that was made and run by long time Circulation supporter, Peter Jenkins. The Arena has been set up as a small hamlet running with permaculture principals of mixed companion species, and controlled water tables. It also serves as the stunning backdrop to our festival in the rolling Windsor hills.

Fun Science

The weekly fun science programme is a free weekly science course run at Kavanagh College Dunedin with the support of Circulation. It is run in conjunction with Amadeo Ballestero of the Otago Museum and aims to spread excitement of science to young people. We have weekly meetings with a class ranging in age from 6- 15. Check out the Fun Science facebook page to see regular updates of our weekly exploits: https://www.facebook.com/FunScienceWithAmadeo?fref=ts
